Dear Parents and Students,
The Band Festival on Saturday, October 18 will be held at Vassar High School. The information that you need follows:
9:00 a.m. All students meet at High School
9:15 a.m. All students on field for rehearsal
10:00 a.m. Rehearsal concludes; students begin to load buses.
10:15 a.m. Buses depart for Vassar High School
11:45 a.m. Arrive at Vassar High School
12:30 p.m. Warm-up time
1:00 p.m. Performance time
1:15 p.m. Performance complete, students go to bleachers to watch awards presentation.
1:30 p.m. Presentation of ratings, this involves only the drum majors. Everyone else stays in the bleachers.
1:45 p.m. Load buses and depart for Oxford
3:15 p.m. Arrive back in Oxford
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend to support the band at the festival. Please eat before you show up to leave. There will not be time to get to the concession stand before we perform and there may not be time afterward. The band boosters will provide something to drink and a snack when we arrive at Vassar, providing there is enough time.
